A quick note from the inventor.

I feel a duty to spread my tick tubes throughout the U.S. and eventually the world.  I truly want to help all of man kind stomp out these now common diseases.

No one should have to take care of an ailing child with a poorly understood mysterious disease, with unpredictable, unreliable testing.  I also want no person to have to live with debilitating neurological problems from an un diagnosed tick disease that may never have shown a rash after the poppy seed tick latched on.

Tick-Dynamite™ DIY Kit - Tick Bait Tubes

Target the Mice. Eliminate the Ticks. Protect Your Family.

Tick-Dynamite™ tick bait tubes are a do-it-yourself tick control system designed to help reduce disease-carrying tick populations at one of their primary sources: rodents and their nesting areas.

Developed after a personal battle with the tick-borne illness ehrlichiosis, this system focuses on interrupting the tick life cycle naturally and efficiently rather than relying solely on broad environmental spraying or rodent poisons.

In many regions of the United States — especially throughout the Northeast and Midwest — mice are one of the primary hosts for young ticks carrying diseases such as Lyme disease and ehrlichiosis. Tick-Dynamite™ tubes are designed to help target that cycle directly.

How Tick Tubes Work

Mice naturally gather soft materials for nesting. The cotton inside Tick-Dynamite™ tubes becomes attractive nesting material that rodents carry back into their nests.

The permethrin absorbed into the cotton helps eliminate ticks living:

on the mice,

inside their nests,

and on developing young ticks before they mature and spread disease.

This helps interrupt the tick breeding cycle at its root source.

Unlike rat poison, which only removes rodents temporarily and indirectly, tick tubes specifically target the parasite load carried by the rodents themselves. New rodents often move back into vacant habitat quickly, but reducing tick populations within nests helps address the disease cycle more directly.

Why Tick-Dynamite™ Is Different

Traditional rodent poisons do not directly target ticks,May disrupt ecosystems, and often result in new rodents quickly replacing old populations.

Tick-Dynamite™ instead focuses on:

reducing tick populations directly,

lowering disease transmission potential,

and helping create healthier outdoor environments.

Healthy tick-free mice help lead to happier, tick-free people and pets.

Additional information

Nesting Behavior

Mice are naturally very effective at locating soft nesting material, often even more consistently than they search for food sources. In many cases, the cotton alone is enough to attract mice to the tubes for nest building.

Tick Habitat Reduction Tips

Tick tube use works best when combined with proper yard management practices by mowing lawns regularly,

Wood piles, rock piles, sheds, decks, and brush lines all provide ideal shelter for mice and therefore ideal placement locations for tick tubes.

Seasonal Use

Tick tubes may be placed outdoors year-round.

They are generally found to be most effective:

April through November

Studies involving tick tube systems have shown substantial reductions in tick populations within treated areas, with some studies reporting reductions approaching 90% fewer ticks in treated environments! Place in rock piles, log piles, sheds, decks ect.

Important Safety Information

WARNING — Permethrin Safety

Undried permethrin can be highly toxic to cats.

Once dried, permethrin loses much of its toxicity to cats while remaining effective against ticks.

Additional precautions:

Keep away from children and pets especially cats and 3 miles or more from any bee hives.

Avoid contamination of ponds, streams, or waterways

Do not use within approximately 3 miles of bee hives

Clean spills immediately

Always use proper PPE during handling

Allow treated materials to dry fully before exposure to pets or wildlife

Ahhh Rats.

The Super-Hosts: Mice are highly attractive to ticks; a single mouse can be covered by 50 to 100 ticks all at once.

Disease Transmission: Mice are incredibly efficient reservoirs for the bacteria that cause Lyme disease. When ticks take their first blood meal from an infected mouse, there is a 75% to 95% chance that the tick will also become infected.

Tick Survival: Unlike other mammals (ex:  opossums) that clean themselves and kill off the majority of feeding ticks, mice groom less and allow up to 90% of larval ticks to survive and feed successfully.

Quote on tick tubes from Penn State University Study

In addition to their other findings, the researchers found that cotton use from tick tubes was highest in late September and October, coinciding with peak mouse populations and increased demand for nesting materials. Machtinger said that consistent deployment and replacement of tick tubes throughout the year, or targeting cooler months with high cotton use, appeared to be more important for effectiveness than the specific season of initial deployment.

How it works

How it works: The cardboard tubes are filled with cotton treated with permethrin. Mice collect this cotton to line their nests, which kills the larval and nymphal ticks that feed on them.Effectiveness: Studies and field testing, including evaluations by tick experts like Dr. Thomas Mather, have shown that this is a highly targeted, localized method to reduce tick populations over time without spraying pesticides across your entire yard.Usage recommendations: For best results, applications are generally recommended twice a year—in late April and late July—to align with the periods when young ticks are actively feeding.
